RUDE AND CRUDE

Rude has many definitions, impolite, discourteous, bad mannered, insolent, uncouth, vulgar, disrespectful and offensive. Crude means unpolished, simple, rough, unsophisticated, and basic. These are the ways most of us do not want our children to be. If and when in their formative process they express themselves as such, most get their mouths washed out with soap. So now we have a person who is running for president that fits the definitions. I don’t have to point out any one incident that confirms this, he has done that already.

If he makes it we will have a leader who, by his leadership, will affect many a growing child and affect adults as well as they go about their way in interacting with their fellow human beings. Since the leader of the country is rude and crude it would tend to give a license to such behavior at every level of society. His effect has already taken place at some of his rallies, where I might add he used the four letter taboo word in some of his deliveries. The sad thing is his audiences laugh at his smart mouth invectives of other humans. Running for president is not a reality show, it is serious business. His mocking of Senator Harry Reid’s injuries is another one of his thoughtless actions. I wonder how many of these thoughtless actions will it take to clearly demonstrate to some people he is unqualified to hold any political office, be it local, state or federal.

Dear Editor,

In terms of presidential candidates we see where the two major candidates have changed their approaches and views of many different issues confronting the world and the United States today. One we see has changed her mind over the course of many years, which indicates to me growth, the same growth I’ve experienced as the years go by. I am not the same person I was sixty years ago. I grew and I learned and I changed, not for the worse but for the better. However, the other candidate makes presentations and not only changes within a day’s time, but even sometimes by the time he arrives at the end of a paragraph, they call it flip-flopping. I had a colleague that did the same thing. He would converse and if he looked at you and caught a glimpse of disagreement, by the time he got to the end of the paragraph, he negated what he said at the beginning.

I believe they call that an oxymoronic process. So what might we have as a president, “Send a missile!”

“It’s on its way, sir.”

“Oh! Never mind, I changed my mind make it come back.”

He won his candidacy by intimidation, I presume none of the other candidates grew up on the street where they might have learned to respond with as sharp a tongue. On the street they call it, “Do’in the dozens.” Two individuals engage in a conversation of creating insults greater than the one previous. During the debates two of the candidates were capable, but they would not lower themselves to play that game, I believe in the hope that their constituents would recognize that respect is the greater of the two. But, unfortunately, that was not the case. It appears that for many an entertaining presentation is more attractive to their decision making than the capabilities of the candidate. However, in the scheme of things what you see and hear is what you get. Unfortunately, it appears many are not listening. This reminds me of Matthew 13:13, “You look but you don’t see, you hear, but you don’t listen.” I think this parable is most appropriate in this situation.

Put my house for sale with a real estate. We will see what happens. Nevertheless, the urge came upon to write some poetry. These two are surreal and when the word is italicized it refers to what is before and what is afterward. A little effort and you catch on.

WINE FOR THE SOUL

I spilled some wine, but not in or for libations toast many deities with a few drops for the gods happily accept the honors, but this time they looked down from Olympus showering us tellurians with rain, thunder, lightning, gales frequently accompany hurricanes, tempests, cyclones, typhoons a word of Greek origin Tuphon and Chinese Tai Fung, a big wind seems to be bellowing across the nation. Rumpah doodle dee, I hope it blows off shore

AVE PHILLIP MORRIS

I know what you mean is the world we live In hoc signo vinces, with this sign we conquer was on a shield displayed on a pack of Pall Mall cigarettes will kill you, slowly, slowly, into the shadows of death a finite thing knocking on everyone’s door

While watching PBS an interview occurred with official of immigration and in their discourse I learned that the illegals that are coming across the Mexican border into the United States, are not in the main, Mexicans, but Central Americans, fleeing cities that are run by gangsters. The United States has been working with the Mexican government to stem the tide of those coming across their southern borders. So Donald because of his lack of foreign affairs, and the delicacy with which our neighbors need to be dealt with if we want their co operation, I think may have been somewhat stymied. His brashness may be entertaining, but it certainly isn't productive or helping to create working relationships with our neighbors. Let's hope the Mexican don't change their policy to say "Come right on in and up, the weather is fine. Heck we'll give you a free ride to the border." Then they don't have to put up with all the humanitarian aid to the refugees. That is the problem with Donald he simplifies issues with brashness and appealing rhetoric because he doesn't know what he is talking about. A person who is cerebral (a thinker) would never say the things he does, knowing they could be harmful to the endeavors of the country. Just because we want to be smart asses, doesn't mean the rest of the world (that we exist in) appreciates the sense of humor so many Americans seem to be attracted to.(It doesn't work in the major world wide scheme of things. You play the game until there are no more choices. Because a lot of people and countries can get hurt, and I mean seriously. There are no more battlefields. The evolution of war is as such, man to man combat, troops against troops, tank, submarines, bombing, atom bomb, now all types of devious means are available, poisoning water systems, blowing up power stations, refineries, suicide bombers, and more. This has put a greater demand on diplomacy in working with other nations.)
